DESCRIPTION

The 2019 Stockli Laser GS FIS skis are proven race winners.  With a long-standing and now increasing presence on the World Cup, Stockli's Swiss craftsmen make some of the finest race skis available.  Their construction is size-optimized, with the core of the ski being tailored to the projected athlete's size and weight.  Vario Racing Technology (VRT) means that the top Titnal layer has a variable thickness profile - thinner at the tip and tail to allow the ski to initiate more quickly and thicker in the middle for edge hold, dampness and stability.

Current FIS rules governing ski radius and length:
- 193cm (+/- 5cm) (>30 m radius) skis for men
- 188cm (+/- 5cm) (>30 m radius) skis for ladies.
These sizes are required to compete in FIS races for athletes U19 and older.

KEY FEATURES

  • Vario Racing technology: The upper titans layer has a thickness profil. The titans layer is thinner at the ski's tip and tail. The VRT technology improve control and precision and provide direct and harmonious turn initiation.
  • 3.0 Top sheet structure: New surfaces for the laser and scale models. The combination of three different is a special, noble and unique design. It also rear resistant which means thats scratches are less visible.
  • Construction: the Sandwich sidewall technology provides optimum energy transfer and precision.
  • Metal Edge: wider edges found in the stockli's skis extend the lifetime of the ski. The robust materials and the clever design protect the surface against scratches and damage. Because the ski is wider at the tip it creates easier and faster initiation of turns and enhance the grip in the turn thank to a longer edge contact length.
  • The turtle grip on the surfaces of Laser X models gives an elegant look to the design and a nicer feel.
  • Adaptive contact length: more edge in contact with the snow provide more grip and stability during a turn.

ABOUT STOCKLI

"In the mid-1930s, Josef Stöckli was making wooden skis for his own use. When the demand grew larger, he decided in 1935 to establish the ski brand Stöckli AG. Today, it has the only ski manufacturing facility remaining in Switzerland.

Since the beginning in 1935 when there was a small production line over a washbasin where 50 pairs of skis were made, Stöckli has of course progressed enormously. The production of skis has been in Malters outside of Lucerne since 1986. Today, Stöckli Swiss Sports AG sells more than 50,000 pairs of ski annually. Using a combination of the most modern computer-controlled (CNC) milling machines and hand finishing, 50 associates build today’s high-tech ski products. Relying on its more than 80 years of experience and constant implementation of successful new ideas from racing and development departments, Stöckli guarantees a wide-reaching collection sure to meet the needs of every skier." https://www.stoeckli.ch/inten/ski/history
